History
Weaver was founded on February 1, 1950, by Lloyd J. Weaver and D. Wayne Tidwell. Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, the Firm established an office in Dallas in the 1960s. In the late 1980s, leadership of the Firm shifted from the founding partners to W.M. (Mack) Lawhon. Under his direction, the Firm has undergone rapid expansion through internal growth as well as the completion of numerous mergers, including the addition of offices in Austin, Houston and San Antonio. In 2009, Firm leadership shifted to Tommy D. Lawler, CPA, who remains the Firm’s CEO and managing partner. In 2010, the Firm added two more offices in Midland and Odessa, Texas.
