Weaver Asia Roundtable Series
History
In 2009, Mary Thomas, CPA, JD and partner-in-charge of Weaver’s International Services observed that numerous companies face challenges in their international operations with countries such as China. With her wealth of international experience and network of global consultants, she organized a roundtable discussion to assist clients with their international operations and connect executives who share similar challenges and goals.
The first roundtable discussion took place in August 2009. A panel of seven seasoned consultants, with more than 20 years experience in China, answered questions posed by executives of Dallas/Fort Worth companies. Since the first discussion, the opportunity subsists to help executives connect directly with consultants from China and expand their network with organizations such as the U.S. Department of Commerce and companies that handle logistics.
After gaining traction and receiving requests to include other Asian countries, Thomas decided to rename the China Roundtable Series discussions to the Asia Roundtable Series.
Objective
The Asia Roundtable Series exist so that CEOs and CFOs of businesses that operate or plan to operate in Asia can gather information, hear from seasoned consultants, share experiences and network.
