Aircraft service provider expands European operations with advice from Weaver

When multiple opportunities to expand operations into several additional markets arose, San Antonio-based North American Aircraft Services, Inc. (NAAS) turned to Weaver for advice in tax, labor and corporate structuring. The company (www.naasinc.com) is a specialized service provider to the aerospace industry, principally offering aircraft fuel tank repair and modification services for all airframe types, including Boeing, Douglas, Airbus, Lockheed and BizJet.

“Weaver merged with our legacy CPA firm, with whom we had a trusting relationship for many years,” recalls Stephen Pierce, CFO and CAO of NAAS.

With the merger, NAAS gained access to the knowledge and experience of Weaver’s International Services Group. Pierce appreciated the ability to maintain their existing CPA relationship and competitive fee schedule, while leveraging the now larger practice’s experience and network.

In addition to both domestic and international tax advice, Weaver provides NAAS with audit and review services, state and federal tax filings, and taxation and legal updates adds Pierce.

"The firm is very responsive, timely and cost sensitive,” he continues. “They also look out for our company’s business goals by proactively understanding tax consequences of future changes to the tax code so we can decide if restructuring is needed.”

Pierce has also been impressed with Weaver’s responsiveness and level of service, as well as with the firm’s continuity of staff and quality of work. “We’ve found them to be excellent in all of those areas,” he concludes.
